Prank gone wrong Chap 1 MatC

"I'm not going to do it. You can't make me!" Seven year old Mina Harper shouted at her teenaged sister Lucy. The blond teenaged girl smirked down at her younger, red headed sister.

It was October twenty first and Lucy was wanting to play a prank on her little sister. Mina had been annoying her by going into her room without her permission and reading her diary. Her little sister had even gone as far as telling Bobby, Lucy's boyfriend, that Lucy watched My Little Pony, something that embarrassed Lucy beyond words. The teenager only watched that god forbidden show because Mina did and her father would force her to babysit every now and then.

Now Lucy was wanting revenge and the best thing she could think of was scaring the snot out of her. She would consider stealing some of her toys but then she'd probably get grounded a month without cellphone use. The worst Lucy figured she'd get out of scaring her sister was a scolding. Lucy thought that the best way to scare Mina was take her to the old, haunted castle that sat on the highest hill in town.

It was rumored that anyone that goes inside the castle is never seen alive again and those that do leave the castle are never the same again. Lucy could actually remember a TV news report about three missing teenaged girls when she was ten years old. The report had said that the teens were going to camp out in the castle on Halloween night and were never seen again. The police had looked the castle up and down and found no trace of the bodies or what could have happened to them. Every since that night, however, parents had disallowed their children anywhere near the stone castle.

It was dawn and both of the Harper sisters were standing in Mina's room, the only room in the house that had a balcony. It was something that Lucy was admittedly jealous of but had gotten used to after the first few years of living in the house. After telling Mina what she wanted her to do, Mina got angry and refused. It was only to be expected though. Mr. Harper had always warned his daughters to stay away from the old castle as he thought it was a very dangerous place to stay. Although Lucy was used to breaking house rules and didn't find anything wrong with the old castle.

"Why not? Do you want all of your little friends calling you a scaredy cat?" Lucy asked with a cruel smile spreading on her lips. Mina glared up at her sister with her small hands balled up into fists.

Lucy Harper outright knew that Mina had no friends besides a little girl named Martha. Every other kid at Mina's school took to teasing or bullying her. The worst of the teasing kids was a boy, slightly older than Mina, named Nick. He always made the teasing worst and most of the time he would start it. If Nick found out that Mina was refusing Lucy's request, he would label her a chicken for life.

"You know I don't have friends. I am not spending the night at that old castle with you. Daddy said we can't go near that place." Mina told her sister with a stubborn huff. Lucy groaned and crouched down to Mina's eye level, grinning evilly.

"If you don't go, I am going to tell father you broken my cellphone." Lucy threatened. Mina's eyes widened in disbelief as she stared up at her older sister in anger.

"That's a lie! I never touched your stupid phone!" Mina shouted with a glare. Lucy only laughed at her seven year old sister and stood up straight.

"I know but who's dad going to believe when he sees my busted cellphone, you or me?" Lucy asked as she took her cellphone out of her jean's pocket. Mina watched as Lucy walked to her balcony and held out her phone as if she was going to drop it to the ground below.

Mina doubted that Lucy would break her own phone just to framed her; her older sister loved her phone to death. Although when it came to Lucy, nothing she did would surprise Mina. Lucy had never been the loving and protective bigger sister she had wanted. In fact she had even asked her dad a few times if they could exchange Lucy for an older brother. Of course Mr. Harper would laugh and saw no but there was a part of Mina that always hoped that one day she would really wake up to a brother, someone who would protect her and play with her without complaining too much.

"Well, what's your answer going to be?" Lucy asked from outside. Mina watched as her older sister dangled her cellphone over the edge of the balcony by the antenna.

"Alright, fine, I'll go." Mina finally gave in with a childish pout. Lucy grinned in victory and placed her cellphone back in her pocket as she entered the room.

"Pack an over night bag. I am going to tell dad that I am taking you to a sleep over to one of your friend's house." Lucy said as she left the bedroom before Mina could remind her sister she had no friends. Sighing, the young child grabbed her school bag and filled it with toys and her pajamas.

Mina wasn't really planing on sleeping while at the castle. Even if she was a little worried that her father would get angry, she was excited. Mina was thinking that an old castle would be fun to explore and play at. Maybe, if the castle had suits of armor, she would even scare her sister a few times. In a matter or time Mina was grinning in excitement as she pulled on her coat and grabbed her small flashlight out of her toy chest.

"Alright brat, lets go." Lucy said as she reappeared in the bedroom. She was wearing her coat and held car keys in her hand.

In no less than ten seconds later, Mina had run last her older sister, down the stairs and to the car waiting for them outside. Lucy came out behind Mina but at a slower rate and it annoyed the little girl. It had been Lucy's idea to go to the castle in the first place and now she was taking her time.

"Hurry up, Lucy or I will scream for dad right now." Mina said with a grin. Lucy shot her younger sister a glare as she pushed the auto unlock on the car remote.

"Get in, we're leaving." Lucy ordered as she pulled her self into the driver seat. Grinning, Mina jumped into the back and buckled up just as Lucy started up the car; they were now on their way.
